Oh, and did I mention pirates?
If you are looking for a swashbuckling adventure where everyone in your crew can enjoy the ghoulish delights of Halloween just head 25 miles or so west of Minneapolis/St.Paul and discover the spooky delights at Swansbrough Manor. We’re sure that you’ll make it an annual tradition.
Your experience begins with a stroll through the Wicked Woods, a pumpkin pathway where you will get into the “spirit of things” and may even meet up with a few witches along the way. Your journey then leads to a haunted cemetery; home to a creepy crypt, a mausoleum, and a horse-drawn hearse. You’ll explore tombstones of the dearly departed, and pay final respects to some of the pets that have lived in the area.
Soon, your eyes will be drawn to the Black Pearl, a 70 foot long pirate ship worthy of any notorious sea pirates of legend. Once aboard, you’ll tour the captain’s & crew’s quarters, experience the ghoulish sounds of a pirate band and examine the bounty from a recent battle. Not far from the Pearl you’ll climb aboard the 65 foot Flying Dutchman pirate ship where you’ll be greeted by a tale-spinning skeleton. He’s looking for recruits to join his crew…perhaps your time has come! Oh, and don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for a glimpse of Davy Jones.
Swansbrough Manor is new to Minnesota, but has been a staple of the Halloween season in the Atlanta area for many years. Conceived and created from the minds of ex-Disney Cast Members, Steve and Dawn Swansbrough (along with family & friends from across the nation), the ever-growing attraction comes from a passion for the holiday, pirates, and most importantly, bringing families together to share the experience and make lasting memories.
Admission is free. The Swansbroughs also have a passion for giving back to the community and have raised over $11,000 in visitor donations for art & music programs from their Haunts while in Georgia. This year, they have set their sights on the art & music programs at Delano High School located in their community. 100% of all donations go directly to the school and guests will have an opportunity to stop by the special treasure chest at the end of the Haunt to contribute.
This year’s Haunt will run Saturday, October 29 through Monday, October 31 from 6-10pm each night. Guest parking is plentiful. For directions CLICK HERE to go to the Swansbrough Manor Facebook Page
Carve out some time to pay Swansbrough Manor a visit this Halloween season, donate to a worthy cause, and begin a new frightfully fun family tradition.
And remember, Be Forever Wandering But Not Lost.
