Matt Emerson WBNL Boston View From The Prudential TowerBeautiful view of the Charles River flanked by Back Bay to the south and Cambridge to the north

Prior to the 19th Century the Back Bay was literally a bay but was filled to add more territory to Boston town. Today the area is home to exquisitely preserved brownstones, the broad green space of the tree-lined Commonwealth Avenue, great food, drinks, and shopping along Newbury Street and the business, hotels, and urban activities of Boylston Street. This shot was taken atop the Prudential Tower, the city’s tallest and most recognizable building.

Across the river in Cambridge you can discover 2 of the Nations most well respected Universities; MIT, which you can see at the bottom left sitting on the Charles and Harvard which if off in the distance. Both are well worth a walk through, many incredible students, both past and present that have walked these halls and you get such a sense of accomplishment and history as you visit. Not to mention some very cool architecture.

If you have a keen eye, over to the right you can see the Bunker Hill Memorial and the Clam Shell, most well known for where the Boston Pops plays its annual Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza.

So much to do, this is a great place to go to set your internal GPS! Get Up and Get Out. Be forever WanderingButNotLost.
