Matt Emerson WBNL NYC Central Park The Boat House Water ViewFor a classic and immersive Central Park experience make sure that you reserve a seat at the The Loeb Boathouse. Matt Emerson WBNL NYC Central Park The Boat House

Reservations are required so book early to guarantee a seat, however, you can always stop in and get on the waiting list to be seated.  There isn’t a bad seat in the house.  The view out on to the lake is awesome but you’ll notice there are just as many people here that feel as though they are the view!  Just roll with it and enjoy.  The food is out of this world and the service is exceptional.  The indoor bar is usually packed but worth waiting for.  If the weather is warm the outdoor bar and deck is a great place to relax, enjoy a drink and people watch.  During the summer months Gondoliers can take you on a cruise of the lake with songs included.  This is also a great thing to observe as you enjoy your cocktail!

Boating on the lake has been around for over 150 years and remains a vibrant activity in Central Park. In the late 1800’s a boathouse was built. It was a grand Victorian structure designed by Calvert Vaux.

Over time that boathouse evolved into the incredible restaurant that we treasure today.
It is a favorite watering hole and dining establishment for of this Travologist. You get a real feel for the Park here, a sense of community, and a place that you always feel at home.

Get up and get out. Be forever Wandering But Not Lost.
