Wandering Zen – Wandering the Vessel

There is always something new to see in NYC and in today’s Zen we take a trek out to Hudson Yards and climb the Vessel…

If you are looking for something new to do on your next trip to NYC, hop on the 7 train west to the 34th/Hudson Yards stop and you will emerge from unground into a new world of shopping, dining, entertainment, and art on the shore of the Hudson River.

This vibrant new district sits at the northern end of the High Line, which is a fantastic NYC experience on it’s own, and there is a lot to explore here.

The centerpiece of the area is the Vessel.  You can’t miss this enormous structure which houses 154 intricately interconnecting flights of stairs – almost 2,500 individual steps and 80 landings – the vertical climb offers remarkable views of the city, the river and beyond.  It’s hard to describe what this is all about but it is something that you are not going to want to miss.  Check out the pics below along with links to all of the other things to see and do while you are visiting Hudson Yards.
