Rising 1,267 feet from the rolling prairie, Devils Tower National Monument in northeastern Wyoming is a spectacular sight. Made popular in the late 70’s movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind, kids across America were forming the tower from their mashed potatoes at the dinner table. Although there have been no “official” UFO sightings at the Tower it certainly conjures up the thought. While you’re there take the short 1.3 mile Tower Trail that circles the monument. From the trail you’ll get a wide variety of angles and views of this natural wonder. On your way out don’t miss Prairie Dog Town located just a mile or so from the park, huge collection of these little guys there to wish you well on your travels. Devils Tower National Monument is a great place to wander. Get out and #FindYourPark.
