Matt Emerson WBNL Mt RushmoorGutzon Borglum’s iconic Mount Rushmore is truly more remarkable in person than you’d imagine. The skill, artistry, and acrobatics that were used to create these gigantic images is amazing. From May through September the evening lighting ceremony is a must see and, if time permits, take the short 0.6 mile Presidential Trail to get a closer look at the sculpture. This isn’t the only mountainside sculpture in the area though, while in this National Monument and  National Park rich area of South Dakota, make sure you pay homage to the #Lakota and other North American Indians at the Crazy Horse Memorial about 16 miles from  Mount Rushmore and the city of Keystone. Both monuments are a great place to reflect and wander. Get out and FindYourPark
