Devils Postpile National Monument is a Geological Wonder

Devils Postpile National Monument is a feast for the eyes. This geological wonder is thought to be one of the world’s finest examples of columnar basalt. The 60 foot columns display a beauty and symmetry that will make your mind wander. There is a great homage to the Postpile at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim. On your next visit check out the waterfall near the entrance to the Grizzly River Run. You can’t miss it and it’s a great touch. The real deal is located off of US 395 in the scenic  Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. To keep traffic down you’ll need to shuttle in to the park.
