When visiting Yosemite National Park, carve some time out of your agenda to spend wandering the Glacier Point Road area.
Mostpeople head directly to Glacier Point, which has one of the most stunning views of the Yosemite Valley, however, if you want to enhance your experience make a couple stops along your way.
McGurk Meadow is a beautiful find. You’ll see McGurk’s old cabin and may even encounter a flutter of butterflies.
The Fissures, where you’ll find huge cracks in the granite that opens ‘windows’ down the the valley floor.
Get out your camera at Taft Point for a ton of the best pictures ever.
You’ll get a 360-degree view (and great cell reception) a top Sentinel Dome.
All of these are easy to moderate in activity level and are just a few of the many adventures that await you on Glacier Point Road.
