Happy President’s Day. The holiday originally celebrated Washington’s birthday but became popularly known as Presidents’ Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers. So, if you’re looking for something to do today – why not learn a little more about our Presidents. There is always a story to tell about those who held that office!

Thanks to The National Park Service for compiling an incredible list of places to put on your itinerary. Many of the locations below are under the stewardship of the Park Service, which has celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2016. The NPS is a national treasure and one that we can be proud of and should never take for granted.
